Please verify your mental health benefits, deductible, and copay directly with your plan
Out-of-network benefits
Want to use your insurance even if I am out-of-network?
I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
You can call the member support phone number on the back of your insurance card and say, "I want to meet with a mental health therapist who is out of network and I've heard I can still get reimbursed, can you tell me how to do that?" and "what will my reimbursement rate be?"
Deciding whether or not to use insurance
Private pay can be a good options of you prefer not to receive a mental health diagnosis on your medical record.
Many clients I work with are navigating burnout, stress and the pressure to do important things well.
These are often understandable responses to demanding seasons of life, not a personal failure
Good faith estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges under the No Surprises Act. You can request this estimate at any point prior to starting therapy
